Movement & Mindfulness

Helping you manage symptoms of chronic conditions through yoga and mindfulness based practices to facilitate healing and improve your quality of life.

Our approach

Life moves fast, we all know that. It can be hard to slow down, to notice and more importantly, to listen to and honor what our body is telling us. Maybe it’s a nagging pain we’ve had for years. Maybe we are tired all the time and just can’t shake it. Maybe we have felt overwhelmed and stressed for as long as we can remember and don’t see a way out.

Sixty percent of American adults are living with least one chronic condition while forty percent have more than one. Living with a chronic condition can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. We understand that managing symptoms can be a daily struggle, and more and more research is showing stress can exacerbate these symptoms. That’s why we’re here to help.

Through education, personalized yoga and mindfulness programs, and intentional movement we work with you to develop a deeper understanding of your body, mind, and emotions. Our approach is grounded in scientific research on the mind-body connection, and we customize our programs to meet your unique needs. We offer a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your physical, mental, and emotional state.

Our programs are designed to help you:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and boost your overall sense of calm and balance

  • Learn the tools and coping strategies to face obstacles with resiliency and self-regulation

  • Improve flexibility and strength through intentional movement

  • Enhance your overall quality of life

We know increasing our awareness and learning healthy coping strategies are powerful tools to manage chronic conditions and improve overall health. If you’re ready to take control of your health and well-being, we invite you to join us on this journey.

Dr. Stephanie Wymyslo is a Licensed Occupational Therapist, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Yoga Therapy Student who combines the licensed medical practice of occupational therapy with the teachings and practices of yoga and meditation to help clients improve their well-being and reach their goals. We recognize that emotional and mental conditions are intertwined with physical and that we can maximize well-being by giving balanced attention to both. We believe our bodies have the innate capacity to heal themselves when obstacles are removed. We will look at all aspects of your physical and emotional life to identify and clear these obstacles to create a stronger mind-body connection to allow you to live your most authentic life. Whether you’re dealing with chronic stress, pain, trauma, or simply looking to improve your overall wellbeing, Summit Therapy is here to help you thrive.
